Scent Stories
An unstoppable stream of imagination takes over me every time a new scent lingers in the air in my room or the studio. One of my favorite candle moments is when I feel a new scent for the first time. If the imaginative scenes are vivid enough, then I know this scent is a keeper.
How does this happen? The first encounter with a new fragrance is the impatient, hasty unpacking of the fragrance concentrate and, of course, in the contrary to all the possible safety and good practice recommendations, the impatient smelling right away, "from the bottle". Then comes the process of making the first candle, during which my imagination is either going to fly or not. In that case, there is a high probability that the fragrance will remain in the bottle. However, if my heart starts beating a little faster and sentences are being "written" in my mind about what scene this scent conjurs up in my imagination, then there is a high probability that this fragrance will join the chosen ones.
I let my scent stories live their own lives somewhere between space and time and when the inspiration hits me, I write them down. Today I have a feeling that I want to share them with you.
